September Writing Challenge
If you hadn’t yet heard, I announced this week that I’ll be doing a self-imposed writing challenge during the month of September, after a year long episode of writer’s block.
Any medium, any genre, and just one scene or chapter per day. Non-consecutive, can be different stories every single day. And they probably will be.
One reason? I just got this awesome awesome deck of storytelling cards from The Story Engine Deck. Ok, ok. It’s not just a single deck. I got the starter set, plus 18 expansion and booster packs. It has everything from Western and Pulp Fiction to Steampunk and Fairytales.
Yes, there is a little voice in my head that tells me I am cheating by using cards (how do I kill that voice?!), but the name of the game is getting back into my creative flow. And to get there, a character and conflict card go a long way.
Since I’ll be doing this for fun, I figured I will also share any stories, scripts, and soundscapes I create. So far, I’ve already created two “karaoke style” voice over scripts and sound designs, so why not download them and record yourself?
